John Lennon’s Death Remembered By His Fans-John Lennon’s fans commemorated his 30th death anniversary in his hometown Liverpool and in New York where he was assassinated. His fans have lit candles, laid flowers and sung his songs and listened to poetry inspired by the music legend.

Lennon was 40 years old when he was fatally shot by his craze fan Mark Chapman in Dakota on December 8, 1980.

A giant photo of John Lennon and his son Julian to his first wife Cynthia has been watched over the crowd in Liverpool together with a banner bearing the name of his signature song “Give Peace A Chance.”

Meanwhile, Yoko Ono his widow performed a concert in Tokyo, Japan in memory of him. The widow said in a statement at her concert, “On this tragic anniversary please join me in remembering John with deep love and respect. In his short lived life of 40 years, he has given so much to the world. The world was lucky to have known him. We still learn so much from him today. John, I love you!”
