Before Leg Amputation, Zsa Zsa Gabor Asked 'Am I Going to Die?'

When Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband of twenty five years Prince Frederic von Anhalt told her she was reaching to lose her leg, she was surprisingly calm and had just one question on her mind, he told RadarOnline.com.

"Am I reaching to die?" the 93-year-old showbiz icon asked him.

It was then that Anhalt and also the doctors explained to her what might happen unless they acted soon. "I told her that the doctors said that the infection was moving and if it had gone into her hip -- that will be it -- she would die," Anhalt said.

The hour-long operation was successfully performed on Friday once doctors discovered the infection had spread into her bone.

After the operation, when Gabor got her 1st investigate her amputated leg, Anhalt told her not worry.

"She saw it and is aware that her leg is currently gone. I told her she did not need it anyway, that i will be able to just carry her everywhere. She chuckled at that," he said.

Anhalt explained that given Gabor's medical history and age, it'd be a short time until she will leave the hospital. "She is on morphine and will most likely be within the hospital for about 2 weeks or so, betting on her recovery because of her age," he said.

With Gabor's 94th birthday springing up next month, Anhalt says that he'll just ought to bring the party to the hospital, if necessary.
