Some schools announce Wednesday closings early
The first of the Nashua area school systems has preemptively canceled classes on Wednesday in advance of a Nor’easter expected to hammer New England.
Milford schools, Souhegan High School, Amherst Middle School, and Wilton-Lyndeborough Coop schools will be closed Wednesday according to WMUR’s list of closings.
A few other schools in the state have also cancelled classes, including schools in Derryfield, Saint Anselm College, Keene State College and the Franklin Pierce University campuses in Concord, Manchester, Lebanon and Portsmouth, according to the site.
The National Weather Service issued a blizzard warning Tuesday afternoon and is predicting sustained winds or frequent gusts of more than 35 mph plus 12-16 inches of snow for some parts of the region.
