Miranda Lambert:On Wednesday, “In the spotlight with Robin Roberts— All Access Nashville” special, the country star Miranda Lambert revealed that she spent much of his childhood bankrupt and homeless when her parents, two private investigators, struggles to pay the bills. “It was a crazy life … and I was not protected from this,” she says.

As PI, her parents saw a dirty side domesticity. Lambert grew up hearing about the fight custody battles, divorce and domestic violence. In fact, her family sometimes sheltered abused women and children in their home. These women inspired by one of the biggest hits of Lambert’s “Gunpowder and Lead.” Lyrics like “His fist big but my gun more / He knows when I pull the trigger” show the darker side of childhood Lambert.

“I started writing songs at age 17,” she says. “So what experience I have had to write?” I just used what I’ve seen in my life that I’ve seen my parents go through. We’ve had difficult times. ”

Despite tough times, Lambert guarantees to make it clear that her family life was not unpleasant. “I had a great childhood,” says Lambert. “My family is amazing.

Lambert, nominated for 9 Country Music Awards. The ceremony is broadcast live on ABC on Nov.
