Erica Blasberg’s Doctor Pleads Guilty to Obstruction in Suicide
Physician Thomas Fess has pleaded guilty to the charges of misdemeanor obstruction in the case of Erica Blasberg’s suicide. The doctor admitted that on the day of the suicide he took a suicide note and prescription drugs from the scene in order to allegedly keep the family from suffering the embarrassment of a suicide. After pleading guilty, Erica Blasberg’s doctor was sentenced to one year probation and 40 hours of community service. Erica was found dead in May this year and though at first it was believed she didn’t committed suicide, it was later confirmed this is what happened. According to her parents she had been using Xanax.
