Victoria Beckham pregnant with fourth child
Victoria Beckham, whose fashion line began including maternity wear for Bubble Belly, Rock & Republic and other labels when she was pregnant with her third child, will now have a chance to wear her own work: The former Spice Girl and her husband, soccer star David Beckham, are expecting a fourth child.
"David and Victoria Beckham are delighted to confirm they are expecting their fourth child in the summer," the couple's spokesman, Jeff Raymond, said in a statement. "Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz are very excited about the arrival of their new brother or sister." The Beckhams' three sons are 11, 8 and 5, respectively.
Victoria Beckham's spokeswoman, Jo Milloy, told The Associated Press that both of the couple's families were "naturally delighted" at the news, which was first reported by People magazine Sunday morning.
She declined to give a due date or comment on how far along Victoria Beckham is in the pregnancy.
Victoria Beckham, 36, who gained fame as "Posh Spice" in the 1990s British pop quintet the Spice Girls, married David Beckham, 35, in 1999.
The soccer star, whose unique style of "curving" free kicks was reflected in the title of the 2002 comedy movie hit "Bend It Like Beckham," played midfield for Manchester United in Britain and Real Madrid in Spain before being recruited by the Los Angeles Galaxy in 2007.
The Spice Girls, who regrouped for a world tour that same year, have sold 75 million records worldwide, according to the BBC. "Viva Forever," a Spice Girls jukebox musical, has been in the works for at least a year, planned for the London Stage.
For several years now, Victoria Beckham has been a successful fashion designer and socialite.
