Garth Brooks Nashville dates added: updated

Garth Brooks' December 17 flood relief event in Nashville was set to be his only arena concert this year, but now it'll be one of several.

The country megastar has added additional Nashville concert dates on Thursday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 19 at 7:30 p.m., reps from the Bridgestone Arena announced Saturday.

Tickets, at $25 plus fees, are on sale now via www.ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster charge by phone at 1–800–745‑3000, Ticketmaster Express at 1–866–448‑7849, Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky Ticketmaster outlets and the Bridgestone Arena Box Office.

Brooks announced the initial Bridgestone Arena flood relief concert at an October 28 press conference in Nashville, flanked by Gov. Phil Bredesen, Sen. Lamar Alexander, Sen. Bob Corker, Congressman Jim Cooper, Congressman Marsha Blackburn and Mayor Karl Dean. Brooks said at the time that he was open to adding more Nashville dates if the demand was there — and the demand certainly seemed to be there. Arena reps said that their website received a record amount of traffic and phone lines a record number of calls an hour after the December 17 event's on-sale date was announced.

Tickets for the December 17 show went on sale Saturday, Nov. 6 at 10 a.m., also at $25 plus fees.

The new December 16 show will be Brooks' first full Nashville performance since 1998, and his first full-band concert anywhere since coming out of “retirement” last year to do a series of stripped-down solo shows at the Wynn Las Vegas Resort.

All proceeds from the events will benefit the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.
